Week 1 (Introduction of the project)
This week mister Barry told us about the project which is produce a short video about HCT 25th year anniversary celebrations. Each one of us should have a role in this project, I choose to be the casting director. This role falls under (pre-production) team. Also, I have made some researchs about my role, and I make a presentation about a famous casting director which is Francine Maisler. I feel comfortable and excited about the vedio and it will be a good chance for me to work with a big team.
Tasks
The first week as a casting director I didn't have anything to do, but I was attended the meetings with my group, we were discussing about the idea, casting, shots and a lot of things. Also, meetings regularly is good to know how things going on.

We have arranged a few meetings with the pre-production team in the first week.
The ideas
A) The video will start by show the old campus after that some of graduating will speak about his major and then he will say whith your he or she graduated .
Then will show the years that the HCT started until now .After that some shooting for new campus. Then student from the college will speak about her\ his major and when he \she will graduate .The video will end on the student make the HCT 25 shape .
B) The video will start by show every major class do something interesting relat to there major for example ( Media student use the camera to take a photo the seen will end by the camera flash “it can be one student or groups” after that the next major . then we will back to the first major and we will focus on one of student take a pieces of paper and go to the library for example and put the pieces on the floor and every major will do the same then it will appearance a big picture for the HCT logo with 25.
week 2
This week my group team have arranged about 2 or 3 meeting to keep up working to resolving decisions about the idea of the video . We are the pre-production team, so we have to finish every thing by the end of this week, so the rest of the crew members can start shooting and finish their job.

I still didn't choose the people who will act for us in the vedio, because we didn't decide how many actors we want yet. But we talk about it and at the first we need many students to form the shape of (25), also, we have a scence between a girl (8-10 years), and a lady(18-21). In addition, we decide who we will make an interviwe with.

We have 2 meeting this week, two with pre-production group and the third one was with my classmates (the whole team). Actually, this week was better than the last because every thing become more clear now and we have decided every thing almost from scenes and footage.

week 3 (preparing week)
This week was kind of a busy week, we have a lot of work. We have to prepare everything and make it ready because next week will be the shooting week. Also, I contact with the student survise and mister Gregory to get the talent release form. Also, I arranged a meeting with my team to discuss our work and how everythings go.

1. SMART plan (all individuals should prepare a SMART plan and bring to your meeting this week). Be prepared to discuss your role.
2. Storyboard finished (Team will meet on Tuesday - Awatef will organize the meeting - to view and discuss the final storyboards).
3. After viewing the storyboards, the producers, pre-production and production teams will meet to start making the shooting script.
4. Team meeting on Thursday will look at the final storyboards and shooting script (NOTE: guests may be invited!)
5. If you still have weebly problems, please follow the steps on edmodo. Your webpages (weeks 1 and 2) will be assessed this week

7. Maryam and others are working on our marketing campaign - they will set up an Instagram account.

week 4 (Shooting week)
This week is the shooting week. All the teams were busy but the production team were the most. They shoot most of the sences almost but there is still one or two scenes as I guess, all the sences will be ready on sunday to give it to the props team. Also, I have a meeting with mister Barry to to discuss about my SMART goal.

week 5 (Filming the scene remaining + reshooting one scene)
In this week the editior should have all the scenes, but unfortunately there was still one scene that postponed to Sunday 10 March 2013 because the shortage of some materials. On Sunday, most of the girls were on time at the location of the last scene. We help the set designer to processing everything. The last scene was about making the shape of the 25 using variety materials.

On 13.March.2013 we have a meeting with the pre-production team (chair: Aaesha Salem - Illustrator). In this meeting Aaesha show us sketches made for the first scene. Also, we dicuss mant things as it shown below
week 6 (blog entry)
This week the team was busy with organizing the movie. The editor (Aaesha Alahmed)showed us the trailer of our movie, it looks amazing and I'm so excited to watch the whole movie. More over, we will hold a meeting this week to discuss our team plan, and the final presentation of the whole work that we have done during the previous weeks.

Actually, I faced some difficulties in searching about my role. I found a lot of videos that the casting and actors speak on , but not the casting director. So I guess this will be ok.

Peter Pappas. He is from Los Angeles, he started in casting 10 years ago, he was a finance guy for 8 years. And then he just decided that he need a new career. He sayed that it is all about passion, it is not about high paid every day, he love casting and he love doing this job.
Summary of the movie
Two and a Half Men is a comedy movie about men, women, dating, divorce, mothers, single parenthood, money, love and friendship.Walden Schmidt (Ashton Kutcher) is a lovelorn Internet billionaire with an innocence born out of his lifelong dependence on others to take care of him. After a failed attempt to drown himself in the ocean after his wife kicked him out, a suicidal Walden stumbles into a Malibu beach house, where tightly-wound, twice-divorced chiropractor Alan Harper and his underachieving teenage son, Jake, had been living with Alan's now-deceased brother for the past eight years. With no place to go, Walden buys the house and invites Alan to remain there, saving Alan from having to move in with his narcissistic, emotionally toxic mother, Evelyn. Walden asks Berta, a domineering, unapologetically blue-collar housekeeper who has been working in the household, to stay as well. Despite his unsuccessful history with women, Alan unexpectedly finds himself mentoring Walden, who has severely limited dating experience. While Walden, Alan and Jake adjust to their new living arrangement, they create a surrogate family unit that promises to make each a better man.
Thing I learned about making movies:
1. Good actors should prepare themselves before an audition by doing some research on show and stuff like that.
2. Actors need to spent more time, not only at the work hours, but they taking calsses, workshops or making resume.
3. Actors have to be active and do the work insted of Lie on the couch and wait for everything to be ready .
Reason of choosing these things
1. Becuase they have to know what are they doing, what is an audition about, what the show will be about and to give a good impression to the casting director that he is interested.
2. To develop their talents as an actors and to Improved thier abilities on casting.
3. The casting directors looking for these king of actors, that they are active people, full of energy and excited to do the best act.
