Week 1 (blog entry)
This week I know what’s our new project which is make small video for the HCT 25th Annual . We divided the roles between students. And I choose Assistant Director.
First I recognize the definition of Assistant Director to know more about this job. Moreover, I identify the group that I will work with them. Then I do research at the Google to find the famous Assistant Director and I read about his job and his career.
What is the Assistant Director role:
The role of an Assistant director include tracking daily progress against the filming production schedule, arranging logistics, preparing daily call sheets, checking cast and crew, maintaining order on the set. They also have to take care of health and safety of the crew.

I made small presentation about the famous Assistant Director which is name James McTeigue to read more about him and to recognize the student who is James McTeigue . And it as just 3 minutes. In my presentation i saw the students small video of the James McTeigue behind the scenes.
In addition I look for other students presentations and other roles . And them we decided who will make the Agenda and who will write the Action Points for the next meeting.

I've attended this week meeting on Thursday, it was with the whole team and with our project supervisor and we've talked about the time and how we will work on this project.
Also, we took about some of ideas fot our video and saw if its easy to shoot it or it's hard for us. As we students, and we also think about the students Service if they will help us to give us the permission.

This week I attend meeting with pre-production team and we discuss about two ideas that we should choose one of them. Also, during the meeting some students with different roles they suggest another nice ideas. So finally we choose one idea to start write the script. I saw that all of my classmate gave us great ideas so i think all of us enthusiast to do this small video but with great ideas.
On the Wednesday, I had a meeting with my team to discuss some points of our jobs. First I was the chair person so I write the agenda. We talking about the equipment that from where we will borrow it from three person who is Ms. Greg , Mr. Waleed, and my classmate Mouza.
Moreover, we talking about the interview that we will do it with the students from several major of college . Also how many scenes that we can shooting by a day.

week 3 (blog entry)
This week we have to start shooting as the storyboard has finished but we fix some things which is there is some of ideas was changed because we saw like that is hard to shoot it and maybe will not be look exactly like the storyboard and not same vision of the director.
Moreover, our student’s service has some of roles so they not allowed us to shoot some scenes like we have scenes we should shoot it at RKMC. But we canceled this scene.
As I Assistant Director and I help the director, so when they change some of ideas we have to change the ideas that we wrote it in the schedule. So I suggest with her what we will need of equipments at the shooting so we decided to take lighting, tripod, mics and of course the camera. Also we need more battery , memory cards dolly and lenses. So she said she will communicate with Mr. Greg, Mr. Waleed and our classmate Mouza to take the equipments from them as this is her job.

week 4 (blog entry)
In this week we have a lot of things to do as we should start shooting some of basic senses because there will be no enough time for the editor team to edit this video and submit it in the same time. So we took some permission from our college to start shooting, at first we took some shot with Dr. Bob the head master of the both RAK colleges. And we gave him some of questions about the old and new campuses and about the major. These questions as the interview. Then our director starts to organize with M. Amjed the engineering supervisor to took from his the permission and to start shoot some of scenes at the men’s college.
On Thursday my team Director, Cinema Photographer, and Director of photography went to the men’s college. I was hope to go with them but our roles of our college is so hard as they just want 4 girls to go there ! But I keep communicate with the director if she want some of help. After my team finish from the shooting at the men’s college I set with them and ask them what did they do there and how they shoot the scenes and they told me that men’s college was very helpful with them and they shoot great scenes for the engineering students when they working and studying.
At the evening of Thursday, we start shooting another scenes but it’s now in our college. We start shoot the students from different major like Applied Media and Education. Also, we shoot the sense of two girls ( dialog). So its very hard to finish all of the scene in on day. Also in the this week we will start edit some of scenes.
Also, in this week we do like BROVA for the 25th anniversary we decided to end it with an artistic shape of 25 with the colors of the UAE flag. So we need help from our class to collect things that are related to majors in the HCT. So we can add them in the shape "25".

First we organized the shooting list with the director and wrote the basic scenes that we should start shoot it by this week. Also, In this week we checked for some location that we will shoot it in our college like : On the top of the reception for shape 25. Also I looked for the make up Artist when she put the make up for the Module. Moreover we shoot the dialog between two girls and it was outside the college (in Garden).

week 5 (blog entry)
This week I attend the shooting for the last scene and it was on Sunday with our set designer make the shape of 25 in different materials based on the majors. And on the same day we shoot the interview with Ms. Teruna.
Also, in this week we faced some of problem which is the post production asked to re-shoot the first scene because of some problem she faced on the editing. And then we decided to re-shoot the scene on Thursday.
Moreover, my team and props team arranged a meeting to discuss what we have done this week and we went to the location of the first scene with props team to found solution of that issue of the angle in the first scene.
Also, in this week we faced some of problem which is the post production asked to re-shoot the first scene because of some problem she faced on the editing. And then we decided to re-shoot the scene on Thursday.

Moreover, we did quick meeting to discuss the re-shooting as Mr. Barry asked the producer to make a meeting with post production, props team, production team and pre production team. Also, the illustrator make some of quick sketch and small storyboard for the first scene that we will shoot it on Thursday to give it to me and to our director and also to editor.
This week I attend the shooting with all teams in our main college entrance in reception area, and I helped director of photography and cinema photography with shooting and I collect some stuff for the set designer to use it in the art attack.

week 6 (blog entry)
In this week we are little bit free and relax because we have done all shooting for the video. So this week is just for the editing, and as my role is assistant director I have to set with the director and editor to see how the editor work and to tell her how we want the video be. So we see the trailer video for our movie and it was very nice. As she just put the basic scene and major that we want the audience know it.
Then she starts to edit the Final movie because we don’t have enough time to do it. And she is very good in this role and as she have final cut pro program the movie will be very nice.
Also, in this week I check out the schedule (shooting script template) for the all scenes and be sure if there is no scenes left. And of course I sent it for the director of our movie and also for Mr. Barry low.

We have done in this week the pitch presentation and it was in Monday. And as my role is Assistant Director I talk about the general job of this role. Specifically, I choose the famous Assistant director which is James McTeigue and I found in the you tube some of his film and what his opinion like NO ESCAPE FILM. And I put like a serif paragraph of story of this film. And also I put two videos that related of this movie, one of them is trailer and the other one is interview with James McTeigue.
And I really benefit a lot of thing from him and how to be successful Assistant Director. Also at the presentation I show the students and Mr. barry what is my role and how I will help the crew to product this video.
